Title:
Querying Cloud Data with Confidentiality and Integrity Assurance (Slides)
Abstract:
With the advent of Big Data, there has been a rising trend of outsourcing data to the cloud, which provides query services to clients on behalf of data owners. While the cloud-based model is appealing in terms of scalability, elasticity and self-manageability, it brings new challenges to query processing. In particular, the service provider might be compromised, thereby causing security threats to data privacy and query integrity. As such, supporting secure queries with confidentiality and integrity assurance is imperative for outsourced cloud databases. In this talk, we will present some of our recent efforts on privacy-preserving data search and authenticated query processing. We will also discuss some possible future research directions.
